Food Bank

We always encourage our children to think about those less fortunate than themselves in the local community.  We join forces with our parish church in an ongoing, weekly collection for our local Food Bank, in Silverdale. Please continue to donate so that our children can take the goods to church with them each Thursday morning. 

As part of learning about Almsgiving  and how can we help others in our community during Lent, some of children suggested to donate food to our local foodbank. They brought an item of food in to school, which they carried down to our church and gave to Father Anton.

Our Mini Vinnies also organise a collection for the Newcastle-under-Lyme Food bank as our Harvest charity each year; donations as always were gratefully received, and this year, we were really lucky to also get a behind- the-scenes tour of the warehouse and distribution centre!
