Year 5 had a great time writing their own song inspired by J S Bach's Toccata and Fugue.

Nursery and Reception sang a song about Chinese New Year and then had a dragon parade!
Year 3 composed Chinese New Year Dragon Music using the pentatonic scale and performed to Nursery.
The year 2020 marks the 250th anniversary of Ludwig van Beethoven's birth.
Year 2 are finding about Beethoven in their Famous for more than five minutes topic.
They have learned how to play the opening bars of Symphony no.5 on glockenspiels.

Choir and Recorder Ensemble warming up for Carols Against Cancer 8!
Year 6 pupils have composed an African drumming pattern using phrases from the poem The Highwayman by Alfred Noyes.
Listen for 'the highwayman', 'riding', 'purple moor' and 'wrinkle'.
Year 5 pupils have been learning to develop their understanding of the history of music by exploring music from Anglo-Saxon times.
They have created their own instruments in the style of Anglo-Saxon instruments and performed on them to a song about Beowulf.
Year 6 pupils have been learning to appreciate music from the Mayan tradition
and have made their own replica instruments.
